Terms of service
Last updated: September 12, 2026
Welcome to medi SF. The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to TMED Inc., a California S corporation doing business as medi SF (“medi SF”). medi SF operates this store and website (medisf.com), including related information, content, features, tools, products, and services, to provide you with a curated shopping experience (the “Services”). medi SF is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy (these “Terms”), describe your rights and responsibilities when you use the Services.
Please read these Terms carefully. They include important information about your legal rights, including warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability.
By visiting, interacting with, or using our Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use or access the Services.
SECTION 1
ACCESS AND ACCOUNT
By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, and that you have given us consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use the Services on devices you own, purchase, or manage.
To use the Services you may be asked to provide information such as your email address and billing, payment, and shipping details. You represent that all information you provide is correct, current, and complete, and that you have the right to provide it.
You are solely responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all account activity. You may not transfer, sell, assign, or license your account to any other person.
SECTION 2
OUR PRODUCTS
We make every reasonable effort to describe our products accurately. Colors and appearance may differ from your screen because of device type and settings.
We do not warrant that appearance or quality will match every on-screen rendering.
Product descriptions, availability, and assortment may change at any time without notice. We may discontinue any product and may limit quantities offered to any person, region, or jurisdiction.
Authorized dealer. United States only. medi SF is an authorized medi USA dealer. We sell and ship only within the United States. We do not accept international orders and we do not export these products. Purchases are for personal or household use in the United States only and are not for commercial resale or export.
SECTION 3
MEDICAL INFORMATION, FIT, AND CLINICAL DISCLAIMER
medi SF sells medical-grade compression garments and orthopedic supports. We are a retailer and authorized dealer, not a medical clinic and not your treating physician.
• Content on the Services (including sizing charts, compression-level guides, FSA/HSA notes, and product descriptions) is general information. It is not a diagnosis, treatment plan, or prescription.
• Choosing compression level, style (knee-high, thigh-high, pantyhose; open- or closed-toe), and size is your responsibility, ideally with guidance from your clinician.
• 30–40 mmHg and other firm-compression or specialty orthoses should be used only as directed by a licensed clinician.
• We can help you measure and select a product. That assistance does not create a physician–patient relationship and does not replace your doctor’s advice.
• If you have arterial disease, neuropathy, fragile skin, an open wound, infection, or are unsure whether a product is appropriate, consult your clinician before purchase or use.
You assume the risk of selecting, fitting, and using products. Follow manufacturer instructions for donning, wear time, and care.
Fit after wear is not a defect. A product that matches the size, style, and compression you ordered is not a manufacturer defect because it feels tight, loose, or “not what I expected.” Online unused items may still be returned under Section 7. In-store sales after measuring are final for change of mind. We can help you choose a different size as a new purchase. We do not treat fit preference as a manufacturer defect.
SECTION 4
INSURANCE, FSA, AND HSA
medi SF does not bill health insurance and is not acting as a DMEPOS biller unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.
Some medical-grade items we sell may be eligible for FSA or HSA reimbursement when used for a qualifying medical need under IRS rules and your plan. Lifestyle-only or athletic items generally do not qualify.
An “FSA/HSA Eligible” label means the product type is commonly accepted when there is a qualifying medical need. It is not a guarantee that your plan will approve reimbursement.
Some administrators accept a receipt only. Others require a clinician recommendation or a letter of medical necessity (LMN), especially for compression garments. Keep your order confirmation and receipt. For plan rules and claims, contact your FSA/HSA administrator—not medi SF.
You may pay with an FSA/HSA card if the administrator accepts the charge, or pay another way and submit a claim. A declined card does not always mean the product is ineligible.
SECTION 5
ORDERS
When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase. medi SF may accept or decline any order for any lawful reason. An order is not accepted until we confirm acceptance and payment has been processed.
Please review size, compression level, toe style, length, color, and quantity before submitting. After we accept an order we generally cannot cancel if the item has been picked, packed, or shipped. You may still request an unused return under Section 7 after it arrives.
If we decline, change, or cancel an order, we will try to notify you using the email, billing address, or phone you provided.
Purchases are subject to return or exchange only under Section 7.
Chargebacks. If you have a problem, email buyonline@medisf.com first. Filing a payment-network dispute without contacting us may delay resolution. We will provide the carrier scan, packing record, and these Terms to the bank when we believe a charge is valid.
You represent that purchases are for your own personal or household use in the United States and not for commercial resale or export. We may cancel any order with a shipping address outside the United States.
SECTION 6
PRICES AND BILLING
Prices, discounts, and promotions may change without notice. The price charged is the price in effect when the order is placed and is shown on your order confirmation. Unless expressly stated, posted prices do not include applicable U.S. taxes, shipping, or handling.
Online prices may differ from in-store prices and from prices at other retailers. Promotions may have separate terms; if those conflict with these Terms, the promotion terms govern for that promotion.
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate payment information and to update it as needed.
You represent that (i) payment information is true and complete, (ii) you are authorized to use that payment method, (iii) charges will be honored, and (iv) you will pay the posted prices plus applicable shipping, handling, and taxes.
SECTION 7
REFUND AND RETURN POLICY
We want you to receive the correct unused product. Because we sell medical garments and supports, hygiene rules are strict.
Online orders — 30 days, unused. For purchases made on medisf.com (ship-to-home, or pickup of an order you did not try on in the store), you may request a return or exchange within 30 days of delivery. Email buyonline@medisf.com before you send anything back. We must receive the item within that same 30-day period unless we agree in writing to a later date for the return parcel.
In-store purchases — no change-of-mind returns. Sales completed at the medi SF Van Ness register are final for change of mind, size, color, or compression preference. In the store we measure, explain compression level, and confirm the pair with you before you pay. Because that consultation has already taken place, in-store sales are not eligible for return or exchange except for a wrong SKU we handed you in error or an unused manufacturer defect (see below).
Buy-online-pickup-in-store: if you only collect the unused order and do not try it on in the store, the online 30-day unused rule applies. If you try the pair on at pickup, that item is treated as an in-store dispensed garment and is not returnable.
You may open the shipping carton and look. medi products generally do not come in a factory-sealed retail box. The only seal is usually the shipping carton or mailer. You may open that carton, take the garment out of the shop bag or tissue, inspect color, knit, toe style, labels, and tags, and compare the size label to the chart — and still return the item if you have not put it on the body.
Looking is allowed. Putting it on is not. For hygiene reasons, a compression garment or support is used — and not returnable — as soon as it is pulled onto a foot, leg, arm, wrist, or torso, even for a few minutes. Fabric that has been donned cannot be resold as new. Folding, hanging, or laying the pair on a table to look at it does not by itself void the return.
Condition for a valid unused return:
• Not worn, not tried on the body, not washed, not stretched on a limb
• All original tags still attached
• Product returned with any original sleeve, band, or bag it came in
• No deodorant, lotion, makeup, pet hair, or odor
Not eligible for return, exchange, or credit:
• Worn, washed, or tried on the body
• Tags removed or missing
• Custom, made-to-measure, or special-order items
• Final-sale items marked as such at checkout or on the receipt (sale, clearance, or floor-display pairs we already opened)
• In-store register sales (change of mind, size, color, or compression), as explained above
• Online return requests after the 30-day window
Wrong size, unused (online only). If you ordered the wrong size or compression online but the pair was only inspected, never worn, you may return or exchange it within 30 days. If it was pulled onto the body, we cannot take it back. Fit after wear is not a manufacturer defect (see Section 3). Wrong size chosen after in-store measuring is not returnable.
Spinomed and other high-value orthoses. These also typically ship without a factory box seal. The same rule applies: you may unbox the shipment and inspect the unused device. If it has been fitted on the body, straps tightened against the patient, or padding worn on skin, it is not returnable except for a documented unused manufacturer defect or a wrong-model shipment.
In-store sales. We measure and advise before you pay. After payment at the Van Ness register, the sale is final for change of mind. Fitting samples, when we use them, are for measuring only. A pair pulled onto the body in the store is the pair you are buying. See “In-store purchases — no change-of-mind returns” above. Defective unused goods and shop error (wrong SKU handed to you) are still handled as stated under “Defective or wrong item.”
Defective or shop-error item. If we shipped or handed you the wrong SKU, or the unused item has a manufacturer defect, contact us within 7 days of delivery or in-store purchase (photos of the product, tags, and carton if shipped). Remedy is replacement of the same SKU or refund of the purchase price, at our option. Shipping damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the outer carton and product. This exception does not reopen change-of-mind returns on in-store sales.
Refund method. Approved returns are refunded to the original payment method. Shipping charges are non-refundable unless we shipped the wrong or defective unused item. We do not refund FSA/HSA “ineligibility” after a completed sale.
Authorization required. Do not mail a return until we reply with an authorization. Unsolicited parcels may be refused. Return shipping is prepaid by you unless we confirm the error was ours.
How to request. Email buyonline@medisf.com with: (A) item, color, size, compression; (B) reason; (C) order or receipt number; (D) photos if claiming defect or shipping damage.
SECTION 8
SHIPPING, DELIVERY, AND STORE PICKUP
We sell and ship only within the United States. We do not ship internationally.
Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, weather, or events outside our control.
Once we transfer products to the carrier, title and risk of loss pass to you. Use the tracking number we send. If the carrier marks the package delivered, that is evidence of delivery.
Inspect the carton on arrival. Report shipping damage to us and the carrier within 48 hours, with photos.
Pickup at medi SF Van Ness (when offered at checkout):
2525 Van Ness Ave, Unit 1
San Francisco, CA 94109
United States
Pickup orders must be collected within 14 days of the “ready for pickup” notice unless we agree otherwise. After 14 days we may cancel the order and refund the product price (shipping/pickup fees, if any, are not refunded), or treat the goods as abandoned as permitted by law. Bring the order confirmation and a photo ID. We may refuse release if we cannot verify the purchaser. Pickup does not extend the 30-day return window in Section 7. You may open the pickup bag at the counter to look at the unused item. If the garment is pulled onto the body, it is not returnable.
SECTION 9
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Services—including trademarks, brands, text, images, graphics, reviews, video, audio, and their selection and arrangement—are owned by medi SF, its affiliates, or licensors and are protected by U.S. and other intellectual property laws.
You may use the Services for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, republish, download, store, or transmit material from the Services without our prior written consent.
medi SF’s names, logos, product names, designs, and slogans (including “Expertise by Your Side”) are trademarks of medi SF or its licensors. You may not use them without prior written permission. Shopify’s marks are trademarks of Shopify. Other marks belong to their owners (including medi / medi USA).
SECTION 10
OPTIONAL TOOLS AND THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Third-party tools (chat, reviews, payments, shipping estimators, and similar) are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not control them and are not liable for your use of them. Review the third party’s terms before use.
New features we add later are part of the Services and are covered by these Terms.

If you submit ideas, suggestions, feedback, or reviews (“Feedback”), you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, sublicensable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display that Feedback in any medium, including for commercial use.
You represent that you own or have rights to the Feedback, that you have disclosed any compensation tied to the submission, and that the Feedback complies with these Terms.
We have no duty to keep Feedback confidential, pay for it, or respond to it. We may edit or remove Feedback that is unlawful, offensive, or that violates these Terms or another party’s rights.
Do not post Feedback that infringes others’ rights, is defamatory or obscene, or contains malware. Do not use a false identity. You are responsible for your Feedback.
SECTION 14
ERRORS, INACCURACIES, AND OMISSIONS
The Services may contain typographical errors or inaccuracies relating to descriptions, pricing, promotions, shipping charges, transit times, or availability. We may correct errors and may change information or cancel orders if information is inaccurate, including after you submit an order, as permitted by law.

SECTION 16
AGENTS
This section applies if you use or cause an “Agent” (software that takes autonomous or semi-autonomous action on a person’s behalf without direct supervision) to access the Services.
No Agent may access the Services unless it identifies itself and follows this section. We may limit Agent access by technical means. We may ask an Agent to stop.

1. Identify themselves in the HTTP/HTTPS user-agent string as Agent/[agent name];
2. Not conceal that the interaction is from an Agent (including by mimicking humans or bypassing CAPTCHAs);

4. Not circumvent measures that limit Agent access.
SECTION 17

We do not guarantee that use of the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
Some jurisdictions limit implied-warranty disclaimers. Those limits may apply to you.
Nothing in this section is intended to limit non-waivable consumer rights under California law.
SECTION 19

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, medi SF, TMED INC., OUR PARTNERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, AND LICENSORS, AND THOSE OF SHOPIFY, SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, OR REPLACEMENT COSTS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR PRODUCTS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICES OR A PRODUCT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted. These Terms do not limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or other liability that cannot be limited under California law.
SECTION 20
INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TMED Inc., medi SF, Shopify, and our and their officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from claims, damages, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising from (1) your breach of these Terms, (2) your violation of law or third-party rights, or (3) your use of the Services, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
SECTION 21
SEVERABILITY
If any provision is held unlawful or unenforceable, it shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the rest of the Terms remain in effect.
SECTION 22
